About Warda and Vishnu

Warda is a Social Entrepreneur, Speech and Language Therapist,  lecturer, consultant and author. She set up her company Language Waves to address the barriers that  Black and minoritised families face when accessing Speech and Language Therapy services that are culturally and linguistically affirming.

Vishnu Nair, PhD is a Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences at Reading University. Prior to obtaining his doctorate, he practiced as a Speech-Language Therapist in India mainly in pediatric settings. He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at West Virginia University for a year before moving to University of Reading.
